DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this mid to late
afternoon along a cold front slowly moving south through the area.
The coverage of thunderstorms is expected to be the highest north
of I-80 and west of I-355, though there is at least a chance
area-wide. No severe weather is expected, though frequent
lightning and locally torrential downpours will occur under the
tallest thunderstorms.
Strengthening northeast winds will result in building waves along
the Lake Michigan shore late today that will persist through
tonight. This will create dangerous swimming conditions.
