Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk Illinois shoreline.
DISCUSSION...
An isolated thunderstorm or two are possible late this afternoon
into the evening mainly southeast of Interstate 57. Additional
showers with embedded thunderstorms begin to move into the area
from the northwest overnight. Severe weather is not anticipated.
Gusty north northeast winds behind a cold frontal passage will
build waves along the Lake Michigan shore overnight, creating
dangerous swimming conditions at Illinois beaches.

Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A long duration rain event with multiple rounds of showers and
embedded thunderstorms is expected and may result in a limited
flooding risk for some areas on Sunday and Sunday night. The
potential exists for rainfall amounts of up to 2 to 3 inches north
of I-80 and especially closer to the Wisconsin border, with
locally higher amounts possible. This may result in ponding on
roadways and low-lying areas as well as some area river rises.
The long duration of strong northerly winds over Lake Michigan
will result in continued high waves and dangerous currents at
Illinois and possibly Lake County Indiana beaches.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
