THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...A FEW MAY PRODUCE:
TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

SHOWERS AHEAD OF A COMPLEX OF STORMS WILL ENTER THE REGION
WEST OF A ROCKFORD TO LASALLE LINE LATE THIS EVENING. THE
SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL SPREAD EAST AND COVER THE ENTIRE
WARNING AREA BY THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.


DISCUSSION:

A COMPLEX OF STORMS WILL FORM OVER NORTHERN NEBRASKA AND
THEN PUSH EAST OVERNIGHT. INSTABILITY WILL BE WEAK OVER
NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND INDIANA...BUT MOISTURE WILL BE
PLENTIFUL. THE GREATEST THREAT WILL BE HEAVY RAIN MAINLY
WEST OF A ROCKFORD TO KANKAKEE LINE. TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS ARE
POSSIBLE. THE BEST CHANCE FOR THUNDER WILL BE WEST OF A ROCKFORD
TO GIBSON CITY LINE. THESE STORMS MAY ALSO PRODUCE WIND GUSTS TO
40 MPH...BUT BY FAR THE GREATEST THREAT WILL BE HEAVY RAIN AND
POSSIBLE FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

SEVERAL PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY SATURDAY THROUGH
MONDAY. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND THEN
SEVERE STORMS ARE EXPECTED SATURDAY EVENING AND NIGHT.
