SOME AREAS OF LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE ARE EXPECTED THIS EVENING
ACROSS FAR NORTHERN ILLINOIS. THE THREAT FOR LIGHT FREEZING
DRIZZLE WILL SHIFT SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 OVERNIGHT. LIGHT ICE
ACCUMULATIONS WILL MAKE FOR SLIPPERY WALKING AND DRIVING
CONDITIONS ESPECIALLY ON UNTREATED OR ELEVATED SURFACES.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
PATCHY LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR DRIZZLE IS EXPECTED TO LINGER
SATURDAY MORNING OVER PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA...ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM PONTIAC
ILLINOIS TO VALPARAISO INDIANA.
A MAJOR STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE REGION OVER THE
WEEKEND. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING...
ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM GIBSON CITY ILLINOIS TO DUNNS
BRIDGE INDIANA. TO THE NORTH...THE THREAT EXISTS FOR ACCUMULATING
SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN. SOME UNCERTAINTY WITH REGARD TO THE
STORM TRACK REMAINS. ANY CHANGE IN THE FORECAST TRACK OF THE STORM
WILL RESULT IN CHANGES IN THE ANTICIPATED PRECIPITATION TYPES.
VERY COLD TEMPERATURES WITH WIND CHILLS BELOW ZERO ARE POSSIBLE
