LIGHT SNOW EARLY THIS MORNING MAINLY EAST OF A PONTIAC TO GARY
LINE WILL END BY DAYBREAK. UP TO ONE INCH OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE...MAINLY
EAST OF A KANKAKEE TO GIBSON CITY ILLINOIS TO FOWLER INDIANA
LINE...WHICH MAY CREATE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE.
A SHORT PERIOD OF MODERATE OR EVEN BRIEFLY HEAVY SNOW WILL LIKELY
DEVELOP EARLY THIS AFTERNOON AND PERSIST THROUGH EARLY THIS
EVENING. THE MOST INTENSE SNOW IS POSSIBLE ALONG AND NORTH OF A
LINE FROM ROCKFORD TO AURORA TO VALPARAISO WHERE SNOWFALL RATES
COULD APPROACH 1 INCH PER HOUR. TOTAL SNOWFALL IN THESE AREAS UP
TO 2 INCHES IS POSSIBLE. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO FALL DURING THE
LATE AFTERNOON ACROSS THE CHICAGO METRO AREA WHICH MAY ADVERSELY
IMPACT RUSH HOUR.

A WINTER MIX OF PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE AGAIN ON THURSDAY...
WITH PRECIPITATION CHANCES CONTINUING INTO SATURDAY. PERIODS OF
SNOW AND RAIN ARE LIKELY FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY BEFORE
TRANSITIONING OVER TO ALL SNOW FRIDAY NIGHT. THE EXACT LOCATION
OF A RAIN TO SNOW DEMARCATION LINE IS QUITE UNCERTAIN AT THIS
