Flash Flood Watch 04:10:39.1488860

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF ILLINOIS AND INDIANA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
AREAS...IN ILLINOIS...BOONE...COOK...DE KALB...DUPAGE...FORD...
GRUNDY...IROQUOIS...KANE...KANKAKEE...KENDALL...LA SALLE...
LAKE IL...LEE...LIVINGSTON...MCHENRY...OGLE...WILL AND
WINNEBAGO. IN INDIANA...BENTON...JASPER...LAKE IN...NEWTON AND
PORTER.

* THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING.

* SEVERAL ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED...AND THIS COULD
RESULT IN WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 ADDITIONAL
INCHES INTO SATURDAY EVENING WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE. THE MOST LIKELY TIME PERIODS ARE THIS AFTERNOON INTO
THIS EVENING AND AGAIN SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY EVENING.

* A VERY MOIST ATMOSPHERE WILL ALLOW THESE STORMS TO DROP HEAVY
RAIN OVER SHORT AMOUNTS OF TIME IN SOME INSTANCES. WITH RECENT
HEAVY RAINFALL SATURATING THE SOIL IN MANY AREAS...RUNOFF WILL
QUICKLY OCCUR INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR FLASH FLOODING AND
CAUSING ADDITIONAL RISES ON AREA RIVERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
