AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHWEST INDIANA LATE THIS MORNING
WILL MOVE EAST OF THE AREA BY EARLY AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...ADDITIONAL
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY REDEVELOP ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS
AND NORTHWEST INDIANA DURING THE MID AND LATE AFTERNOON HOURS.
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING HOURS
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL HAVE THE
POTENTIAL TO BECOME SEVERE...PARTICULARLY ACROSS PORTIONS OF
NORTHWEST INDIANA AND EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS ROUGHLY SOUTH OF A
PONTIAC TO KANKAKEE TO HEBRON LINE.

A SLOW MOVING COLD FRONT...ORIENTED FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS
WISCONSIN AND MINNESOTA WILL SAG SOUTH ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS
AND NORTHWEST INDIANA LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS
EVENING. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG OR
AHEAD OF THIS FRONT DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS...AND LINGER INTO
THE EVENING AS THE FRONT CONTINUES TO DRIFT SOUTH. AREAS SOUTH OF
ROUGHLY A PONTIAC TO KANKAKEE AND HEBRON LINE WILL HAVE THE
GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON...
WHERE LOW LEVEL MOISTURE HAS POOLED WITH DEW POINTS IN THE LOW TO
MID 70S. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE
STRONGER STORMS THAT DEVELOP IN THESE AREAS. WHILE THE SEVERE
THREAT MAY BE LOWER NORTH AND WEST OF THESE AREAS...THE POTENTIAL
FOR AN ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS CAN NOT BE RULED OUT DUE TO THE
PRESENCE OF STRONGER WESTERLY WINDS ALOFT.

ADDITIONAL ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ON MONDAY SOUTH
