* At 913 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
torrential rainfall with rainfall rates of nearly 2 inches per
hour and up to an inch of that in just 15 minutes! Between 1 and 3
inches of rain has fallen. These thunderstorms will continue to
produce rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour. Additional
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area
with localized totals over 4 inches likely. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

DISCUSSION...
Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon. Severe weather is not expected, though the strongest
storms could produce gusty winds. Another hot and humid day is
expected with peak heat indices generally in the 95 to 100 degree
range. However, cooler temperatures are expected closer to the
Lake Michigan shore.
