This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms are possible across portions of far
northern Illinois early this morning, but severe weather is not
expected.

Additional more widespread thunderstorm development is expected
across north central Illinois early this afternoon, and these
thunderstorms will spread into northeast Illinois and northwest
Indiana through the remainder of the afternoon. Although
widespread severe weather is not expected, a few of the strongest
storms or storm clusters may produce gusty winds to 60 mph and
hail up to the size of quarters. Storms should largely move out of
the area early this evening, though a few isolated storms can't
be ruled out completely overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Monday through Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Additional thunderstorm chances exist over the weekend into next
week. The potential for the more organized storms exists late
Sunday into Sunday night.

Heat and humidity will be increasing this weekend into next week
with heat indices over 100 degrees possible Tuesday afternoon.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at around 15 mph.
