This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Limited Fog Risk this morning.

DISCUSSION...

Pockets of dense fog will be possible until 8 AM north and west of
I-57. Peak heat indices near 100 degrees are expected today, mainly
for locales south of I-80.

Scattered showers and non-severe thunderstorms are possible this
morning and afternoon. Slow movement may result in additional
locally heavy rainfal. Additional thunderstorms may push east out
of Iowa later this evening, bringing a risk for wind gusts strong
enough to down tree limbs to the region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday and Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited to Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Monday through Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms are possible each day of the period, but appear
most likely on Sunday and least likely on Saturday. Early next
week the focus shifts to southern portions of the forecast area.
Hot and humid conditions will continue with peak heat indices near
100 to 105 degrees on Friday and Saturday.

Spotters may be needed this evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east-northeast at 15 mph this morning and
afternoon. Moving toward the southeast at 30 mph this evening.
