This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to y0 mph.
Limited hail risk...up to half dollar size.
Limited Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Severe thunderstorms are possible across northern Illinois and
northwest Indiana late this afternoon into this evening, with a
threat for damaging winds, large hail, and a tornado or two. The
threat will switch to a period of locally heavy rainfall and
flooding in the late evening and overnight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk well south.
DISCUSSION:
Periodic thunderstorms are expected through at least Thursday,
with strong to severe storms possible late Tuesday or Tuesday
night.
Warm and very humid conditions will persist through Thursday.
Heat indices of over 100 are expected in most areas during the
afternoon hours, with dangerous heat index values nearing or
possibly surpassing 105 Tuesday afternoon.

Spotters may be needed this afternoon and evening.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the east at 30 mph through early afternoon, then to
the southeast at 35 mph late this afternoon and evening.
