Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Freeze Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Any snow showers lingering past sunset this evening in parts of
northern Illinois could produce localized slippery travel,
especially on overpasses and bridges.

Sub-freezing temperatures are expected tonight, including in the
Chicago metro, but mainly outside of downtown Chicago.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Significant Freeze Risk early and again at night.
Early Thursday...
Significant Freeze Risk.
Saturday Night and Early Sunday...
Limited Frost or Freeze Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered heavy snow showers or squalls are possible on Wednesday.
The heaviest squalls could produce 30-40 mph wind gusts, brief
poor visibility, and isolated lightning strikes.

Sub-freezing temperatures are expected again on Wednesday night,
mainly away from downtown Chicago.
