THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL OCCUR TONIGHT...MAINLY SOUTH OF I-80.
THIS WILL LIKELY LEAD TO RENEWED RISES AND POTENTIAL FLOODING ON
AREA RIVERS...AS WELL AS POSSIBLY QUICK FLOODING OF SOME FAVORABLE
FLOOD PRONE AREAS.
THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS FOR AREAS MAINLY SOUTH
OF U.S. HIGHWAY 24. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT ANTICIPATED.
WATER LEVELS REMAIN ELEVATED ON MANY AREA CREEKS AND RIVERS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS LIKELY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 SUNDAY
MORNING.
ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE AREA SUNDAY NIGHT INTO
MONDAY...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR A MIX OF SLEET AND FREEZING
RAIN...THAT WILL LIKELY TRANSITION TO ALL RAIN FROM SOUTH TO
NORTH. THOUGH THE TRACK OF THIS STORM SYSTEM REMAINS SOMEWHAT
UNCERTAIN...IT DOES APPEAR THAT MINOR ICE AND POSSIBLY SLEET
ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA.
IN ADDITION TO THE PRECIPITATION...THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE
STRONG WINDS GUSTING TO 35 TO 40 MPH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH
MONDAY EVENING. EAST WINDS MAY GUST TO 45 MPH ALONG THE LAKE
MICHIGAN SHORE MONDAY...WHICH COULD LEAD TO MINOR LAKESHORE
FLOODING.
WATER LEVELS WILL REMAIN ELEVATED ON AREA RIVERS AND CREEKS.
