Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Fire Weather Risk this evening.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 1 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.

DISCUSSION...

Strong winds from the south to southwest are expected through
tonight, with gusts up to 45 mph at times. Gusty winds will
continue to result in an elevated fire danger into this evening,
mainly for areas near and south of I-80.

Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected overnight tonight.
While the severe threat remains low, a few could produce
localized damaging wind gusts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk in the morning.

DISCUSSION...

Southwest to westerly winds gusting up to 45 mph are expected
behind a cold front on Thursday into Thursday evening, especially
north of Interstate 80.

Spotter activation is unlikely through tonight.
