This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado Risk.
Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Non-Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated to scattered non-severe thunderstorms are possible in the
late morning through early afternoon. Fairly widespread thunderstorms
are then forecast in the late afternoon through this evening, some
of which may be strong to severe. A threat for tornadoes may
accompany the most intense thunderstorms, along with damaging hail
and winds. A relatively higher tornado threat exists west of I-39.

Southeasterly winds will gust up to 40 mph this afternoon into the
early evening, with the potential for sporadic gusts up to 45 mph
near and south of I-80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Limited AM Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk well south of I-80.
Saturday into Early Sunday...
Elevated Frost and or Freeze Risk overnight and early morning.

DISCUSSION...

There may be another round of strong to severe thunderstorms over
portions of northeast and eastern Illinois into northwest
Indiana on Wednesday morning. Westerly winds will gust up to 40
mph on Wednesday afternoon.

Spotters may be needed later this afternoon through the evening.

Moving toward the north-northeast at 40 to 50 mph.
