This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Flooding Risk mainly across Central Illinois.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of I-80.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Significant Snow Risk especially along and east of
Interstate 57.

DISCUSSION:

Heavy wet accumulating snow may cause significant travel impacts
on Friday across portions of northern and central Illinois into
northwest Indiana during the afternoon and early evening. The worst
conditions are expected near and east of Interstate 57.

In addition, strong winds gusting to 35 to 45 mph combined with
the heavy, wet nature of the snow may lead to scattered power
outages where the highest snowfall amounts occur.

Soaking rainfall with isolated embedded thunderstorms south of
the accumulating wet snow may lead to ponding on roads and
renewed river and stream rises.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
