This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Significant Snow Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk south of US-24.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Heavy wet accumulating snow may cause significant travel impacts
on Friday across portions of northern and central Illinois into
northwest Indiana, particularly Friday afternoon and early evening
when snowfall rates may exceed one inch per hour. Uncertainty
remains where the heaviest snow banding will set up, with areas
near and east of I-55 most favored.

In addition, strong winds gusting to 35 to 45 mph combined with
the heavy, wet nature of the snow may lead to scattered power
outages where the highest snowfall amounts occur.

Soaking rainfall with isolated embedded thunderstorms south of
the accumulating wet snow may lead to ponding on roads and renewed
river and stream rises.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
