This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Lakeshore Flooding Risk.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Significant Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A heavy, wet snowfall is expected to develop Friday through Friday
evening across a large portion of northeast Illinois into far
northwest Indiana. Significant travel impacts are possible,
particularly Friday afternoon and evening with snowfall rates
exceeding one inch per hour. Uncertainty remains regarding the
storm track, however, and shifts in the forecast remain possible.

In addition, strong winds gusting to 45 mph combined with the
heavy, wet nature of snowfall may lead to scattered power outages.

A flooding potential also exists with any heavy rainfall, mainly
south of the Kankakee River valley.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
