Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk Tonight...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
DISCUSSION...
There is a chance for thunderstorms after midnight tonight over
far northern IL near the Wisconsin state line. The potential exists
for a couple of these to become strong, with a localized threat of
damaging winds and hail.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Tuesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk Well south of I-80.
DISCUSSION:
A cold front is expected to produce scattered showers and
thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night as it moves
across the area. The potential also exists for some of these
storms to become severe, with strong damaging winds and hail. It
appears the main threat for these severe storms will be in areas
generally along and east of the Interstate 55 corridor. Torrential
downpours with these storms could also result in localized
flooding.

Spotters will likely not be needed through tonight.
