THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

LAKE EFFECT RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS ARE LIKELY ACROSS NORTHWESTERN
INDIANA...AND PERHAPS PORTIONS OF NORTHEASTERN ILLINOIS NEAR THE
LAKE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SOME OF THESE SHOWERS COULD
ALSO PRODUCE LIGHTNING NEAR THE LAKE. ALTHOUGH SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATIONS ARE UNLIKELY IN MOST AREAS...IT IS POSSIBLE THAT
SOME HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS COULD DEVELOP AND RESULT IN
ACCUMULATING SNOW.

STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED ON FRIDAY. THE STRONGEST WINDS
POSSIBLY IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH ARE LIKELY ALONG THE INDIANA AND
ILLINOIS LAKE SHORES. AREAS FARTHER INLAND ACROSS NORTHWESTERN
INDIANA AND NORTHEASTERN ILLINOIS COULD EXPERIENCE WIND GUSTS TO
50 MPH.

VERY LARGE BATTERING WAVES IN EXCESS OF 18 FEET APPEAR PROBABLE
ALONG THE INDIANA AND ILLINOIS LAKE SHORES FRIDAY AND FRIDAY
EVENING. THIS COULD LEAD TO SOME COASTAL FLOODING.
