THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
HEAVY DOWNPOURS...LEADING TO LOCALIZED FLOODING.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE WILL STEADILY INCREASE BY LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...WITH THE BEST TIMING BEING CLOSER TO EARLY EVENING.

DISCUSSION:

SURFACE LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE FROM THE SOUTHERN PLAINS TO NORTHWEST
ILLINOIS BY LATE THIS AFTERNOON. AS THE SURFACE LOW APPROACHES THE
AREA...THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE IS EXPECTED TO STEADILY INCREASE.
THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ORGANIZED LINE OF STRONG TO POSSIBLY
SEVERE STORMS TO CROSS THE AREA EARLY THIS EVENING...WITH THE STRONGEST
STORMS BEING MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. GIVEN THE STRONG
SHEAR FROM THIS SYSTEM ALONG WITH A VERY MOIST AND MILD AIRMASS...A FEW
STORMS COULD REACH SEVERE LIMITS WITH THE MAIN HAZARD BEING GUSTY
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. SMALL HAIL WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

WITH THE UNSEASONABLY MOIST AIRMASS OVER THE ENTIRE AREA...ANY
THUNDERSTORMS THAT DO DEVELOP WILL LIKELY BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
HEAVY RAINFALL. THIS COULD LEAD TO ISOLATED FLOODING CONCERNS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THE FIRST FROST OF THE SEASON APPEARS POSSIBLE IN OUTLYING AREAS
SUNDAY MORNING.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
THIS EVENING.
