THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF WHICH COULD PRODUCE:
WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
VERY HEAVY RAINFALL.
OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND SOME THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD BECOME
MORE NUMEROUS ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE
THREAT FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION:

A POTENT STORM SYSTEM WILL PUMP AN UNSEASONABLY HIGH AMOUNT OF
DEEP ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE OVER THE AREA TODAY AND INTO
TONIGHT...WHICH WILL SET THE STAGE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
NUMEROUS SHOWERS WITH SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE AREA
THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT. DUE TO THE HIGH AMOUNT OF
MOISTURE...THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING SOME PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH COULD RESULT
IN RISES ON AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS. THERE IS ALSO A LOW END
THREAT THAT SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE
FROM PONTIAC TO RENSSELAER INDIANA. THE MAIN THREAT WOULD BE
STRONG DAMAGING WIND GUSTS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTERS MAY BE NEEDED LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ALONG AND SOUTH
OF A LINE FROM PONTIAC TO RENSSELAER INDIANA.
