THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS ARE LIKELY THIS MORNING WITH LOCALLY
REDUCED VISIBILITIES BUT LITTLE THREAT FOR ANY SIGNIFICANT
ACCUMULATION.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP LATER THIS MORNING AND
CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT...FIRST IN NORTHWEST INDIANA THEN SPREADING
INTO PORTIONS OF CHICAGO AND THE SOUTHEAST SUBURBS THIS EVENING.
SNOW COULD BE MIXED WITH RAIN NEAR THE LAKE. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
ARE ALSO POSSIBLE IN THE RAIN OR SNOW RESULTING IN HEAVY
PRECIPITATION LATE THIS MORNING AND THIS AFTERNOON. ISOLATED AREAS
COULD SEE 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SLUSHY ACCUMULATION...MAINLY ON GRASSY
SURFACES.

FINALLY...STRONG WINDS ARE LIKELY TODAY WITH GUSTS OF 35 TO 45 MPH
LIKELY...THOUGH ALONG THE NORTHWEST INDIANA AND CHICAGO LAKE FRONT
GUSTS OF 50 TO 60 MPH ARE EXPECTED. VERY LARGE AND BATTERING WAVES
WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS CONDITIONS NEAR THE LAKE AND MINOR LAKE
SHORE FLOODING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
