...LOW VISIBILITY EXPECTED THROUGH DAYBREAK FOLLOWED BY STRONG WINDS...

FOG HAS THICKENED ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA WITH VISIBILITY OF AROUND ONE QUARTER MILE IN MANY AREAS.
AN APPROACHING FRONT WILL HELP VISIBILITY IMPROVE FROM SOUTHWEST
TO NORTHEAST AS IT CROSSES THE AREA BETWEEN 6 AM AND 8 OR 9 AM
CDT THIS MORNING. MOTORISTS SHOULD USE CAUTION AND BE PREPARED FOR
CHANGING VISIBILITY.

ONCE THE FRONT PASSES...WESTERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE
TO 20 TO 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH. THESE STRONG WINDS
ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON...BEFORE ABATING
THIS EVENING. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE TRAVEL
HAZARDOUS...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES TRAVELING ALONG
NORTH TO SOUTH ORIENTED ROADWAYS.
