THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.
LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED LATE THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT WHICH
COULD BRING UP TO AROUND AN INCH OF ACCUMULATION...PRIMARILY NORTH
OF THE I-80 CORRIDOR AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM ROCKFORD TO
WAUKEGAN.
LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG PORTIONS OF THE
KANKAKEE RIVER. THERE IS AN INCREASED RISK OF LOCALIZED FLOODING
DUE TO ICE JAMS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED SATURDAY MORNING WITH ACCUMULATIONS UP TO
AROUND AN INCH POSSIBLE.
WARMER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED EARLY NEXT WEEK AND MAY RESULT IN
RAPID SNOWMELT AND RENEWED RISES ON AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS. THERE
IS AN INCREASED RISK OF LOCALIZED FLOODING DUE TO ICE JAMS.
