NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.
RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO SNOW AND BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES ACROSS
MUCH OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND ALL OF NORTHWEST INDIANA LATER THIS
EVENING INTO OVERNIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE
EXPECTED TO BE MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 88. IN
ADDITION...INCREASING WIND SPEEDS WILL LEAD TO AREAS OF BLOWING
SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES OVERNIGHT.
THERE IS AN INCREASED RISK OF LOCALIZED FLOODING DUE TO ICE JAMS
AS RUNOFF FROM RAIN INCREASES FLOWS ON AREA STREAMS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
SNOW WILL END FROM WEST TO EAST WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH LIGHT
SNOW LINGERING INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTHWEST
INDIANA. BLOWING SNOW IS EXPECTED ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE
88 THROUGH THE AFTERNOON RESULTING IN REDUCED VISIBILITIES.
THERE IS A CONTINUED RISK OF LOCALIZED FLOODING DUE TO ICE JAMS
ON AREA STREAMS.
