THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO SNOW AND BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES ACROSS
MUCH OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND ALL OF NORTHWEST INDIANA LATER THIS
EVENING INTO OVERNIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED
TO BE MAINLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 88. IN ADDITION...INCREASING WIND
SPEEDS WILL LEAD TO AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW OVERNIGHT.

THERE IS AN INCREASED RISK OF LOCALIZED FLOODING DUE TO ICE JAMS
AS RUNOFF FROM SNOW MELT INCREASES FLOWS ON AREA STREAMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

SNOW WILL LINGER ACROSS NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
EARLY ON WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH BLOWING SNOW POTENTIALLY
CONTINUING ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA ON WEDNESDAY MORNING.

THERE IS A CONTINUED RISK OF LOCALIZED FLOODING DUE TO ICE JAMS
ON AREA STREAMS.
