DISCUSSION...
Isolated to scattered slow moving thunderstorms are likely from
midday through early this evening. The strongest storms will be
capable of producing brief wind gusts up to 50 mph and small hail.
All thunderstorms can produce brief heavy downpours and cloud to
ground lightning. Thunderstorm coverage will diminish this
evening, ending after sunset.

Additional isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday, generally
along and west of the I-39 corridor across northwest Illinois.
