Weather hazards expected... Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Elevated Fog Risk early this morning. DISCUSSION... Patchy dense fog will limit visibilities to less than a mile in spots early this morning, mainly across the west and south suburbs of Chicago and into northwest Indiana. Fog will dissipate by mid- morning. Periods of scattered thunderstorms are possible from midday through tonight. While a few storms this evening could produce locally gusty winds to 40 mph, no widespread severe weather is expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Thursday... Limited Flooding Risk. Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Friday... Limited Thunderstorm Risk. DISCUSSION: A cold front will stall southeast of the Interstate 55 corridor across Illinois on Thursday. Areas generally along and southeast of the stalled front will be the focus for showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday. Locally heavy rainfall amounts of an inch or more are possible mainly southeast of I-55 across east central and northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.
