...Period of Heavy Wet Snow Possible This Morning...

Rain is likely this morning, but with temperatures likely to be
perilously close to freezing, it is possible the rain could mix
with or possibly change to heavy wet snow. Currently, it looks
like about a 30 to 40 percent chance that a change over to all
wet snow could occur this morning, especially between 6 and 10
AM. The most likely area for a possible change over to wet snow is
north of I-88 and west of the Tri-State Tollway.

If, and where, rain changes to all wet snow, there could be some
accumulations, including on roadways if snow falls heavily
enough. While the most likely scenario this morning is no
accumulating snowfall, there is a chance that heavy wet snow could
fall and those persons with travel plans this morning should be
prepared for the possibility of encountering heavy, wet snow and
potentially hazardous travel conditions.
