THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk in the afternoon and evening for Northwest
Indiana beaches.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
High Swim Risk for Porter County Indiana Beaches.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk near Lake Michigan in Northwest
Indiana.
DISCUSSION:
A cold front will drop southeast across the area Monday. Widely
scattered thunderstorms may develop along this front across
portions of east central Illinois and northwest Indiana during
the late afternoon and early evening. A few of these storms may
severe with large hail and damaging winds.
This strong cold front will create dangerous swim conditions across
Northwest Indiana beaches for the latter portions of the Labor Day
holiday, and strong waves will develop fairly quickly when the
front arrives.
