THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS WHICH MAY PRODUCE:
HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND ISOLATED FLASH FLOODING.
WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 TODAY WITH A
LOW CHANCE FOR STORMS WEST OF A HARVARD TO WATSEKA LINE LATE
TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION:

LINGERING MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY MAY ALLOW THUNDERSTORMS TO
AFFECT AREAS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 TODAY. LOW CHANCES FOR
THUNDERSTORMS WILL THEN SPREAD INTO WESTERN PARTS OF THE OUTLOOK
AREA LATE TONIGHT AS WARMER AIR MOVES IN ALOFT. HEAVY DOWNPOURS
WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREAT WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM BUT CANNOT RULE
OUT SOME STRONGER WIND GUSTS INTO THIS AFTERNOON.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

THERE ARE DAILY CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.
ANY THUNDERSTORM WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL AND
LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING.
