THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS...WHICH MAY PRODUCE:

OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
HEAVY DOWNPOURS.
AND WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA MAINLY SOUTH OF
THE KANKAKEE AND ILLINOIS RIVER VALLEYS THIS AFTERNOON.

DISCUSSION:

A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL SAG SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 THIS AFTERNOON
AND EVENING. CONDITIONS APPEAR TO BE MARGINALLY FAVORABLE FOR
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS TO POTENTIALLY DEVELOP ALONG AND AHEAD OF
THIS FRONT THIS AFTERNOON. WITH RELATIVELY WEAK WINDS ALOFT...NO
WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED. HOWEVER...THE STRONGEST
STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AS
WELL AS GUSTY WINDS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THERE ARE CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS EARLY WEDNESDAY INTO FRIDAY...
MAINLY SOUTH OF A ROCKFORD TO VALPARAISO LINE. THE POTENTIAL DOES
EXIST FOR SOME OF THESE STORMS TO PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
AMOUNTS.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS AGAIN LATE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
FOR MOST OF THE OUTLOOK AREA.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NECESSARY THROUGH TONIGHT.
