THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME COULD PRODUCE:
TORRENTIAL RAINFALL AND FLASH FLOODING.
FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
WIND GUSTS OVER 30 MPH.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
TONIGHT...THOUGH CONFIDENCE REGARDING COVERAGE AND TIMING IS
SOMEWHAT LOW.

DISCUSSION:

VERY WARM AND HUMID AIR WILL REMAIN IN PLACE AS AN UPPER LEVEL
RIDGE SLOWLY BUILDS ACROSS THE REGION. THUNDERSTORMS ARE
POSSIBLE LATER THIS AFTERNOON WITH A SLIGHTLY BETTER CHANCE
TONIGHT.THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE TORRENTIAL
RAINFALL WHICH MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. WITH THE SOIL
SATURATED IN MANY AREAS...ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN MAY QUICKLY
LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. RAINFALL RATES WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS
THAT DEVELOP COULD REACH 2 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

THERE IS A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT...
SUNDAY AFTERNOON...WITH CHANCES INCREASING SOME MONDAY THROUGH
EARLY THURSDAY. HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE
WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP.

HEAT INDICES COULD EXCEED 100 DEGREES SUNDAY AND MONDAY
AFTERNOONS.
