LIGHT SNOW WILL END FROM NORTH TO SOUTH THROUGH THE EVENING.
ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE HALF TO AROUND 1 INCH ARE POSSIBLE ON GRASSY
AND ELEVATED SURFACES.

AS TEMPERATURES SHARPLY DROP OFF THROUGH THE EVENING...SOME ICY
PATCHES MAY DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY ON ELEVATED ROADS.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP INTO PORTER AND JASPER
COUNTIES IN INDIANA LATER THIS EVENING. UNCERTAINTY REMAINS ON
EXACT AMOUNTS BUT TOTALS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS
OF 6 OR MORE INCHES...ARE POSSIBLE BY LATE TUESDAY
MORNING...MAINLY ACROSS EASTERN PARTS OF THESE COUNTIES. SNOW MAY
FALL AT THE RATE OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR CREATING VISIBILITY OF
A QUARTER MILE OR LESS. WINDS GUSTING TO 35 MPH NEAR THE LAKE
MICHIGAN SHORE MAY CAUSE WHITEOUT CONDITIONS IF SNOW CAN FALL
HEAVILY ENOUGH. THIS IS AN EVOLVING SITUATION SO BE ALERT FOR
