THIS EVENING FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND STRONG WINDS FOR FAR
NORTHERN AND NORTHEAST ILLINOIS...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND STRONG WINDS...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING. THE FIRE
WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* AFFECTED AREA...FAR NORTHERN AND NORTHEAST ILLINOIS...INCLUDING
MUCH OF CHICAGOLAND AND THE ROCKFORD AREA.

* WINDS...WEST 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* TIMING...FROM LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AS LOW AS 20 TO 25 PERCENT.

* IMPACTS...CONDITIONS MAY BECOME FAVORABLE FOR RAPID GROWTH OF
WILDFIRES.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
