...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN MCHENRY COUNTY THROUGH
245 PM CDT...

At 212 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Hebron, or near Harvard, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greenwood, Wonder Lake, Spring Grove, McCullom Lake, Woodstock,
Hebron, Holiday Hills, McHenry, Lakemoor, Bull Valley, Johnsburg,
Ringwood, Richmond, Pistakee Highlands, Prairie Grove, Island Lake,
and Fox Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CDT for
northeastern Illinois.
