This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph.
Level 1 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to one inch in diameter.
Elevated Flooding Risk across northwest Illinois.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and
evening. The strongest storms may be capable of producing
torrential downpours, damaging wind gusts, and hail. The highest
coverage and greatest severe potential are anticipated near the
I-39 corridor.

Expect uncomfortable heat and humidity today. High temperatures
this afternoon are forecast in the lower 90s and heat indices will
peak around 100 degrees.

Hot and humid conditions may continue for portions of the area
on Sunday.

Periodic showers and thunderstorms will move through the general
area next week. Many hours will remain dry, and some areas may be
missed entirely.
