This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk through early evening.
Significant Fog Risk, particularly near Lake Michigan.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will
continue to be possible into this evening, with the greatest
coverage expected in northwest Indiana. Possible hazards include
lightning, localized downpours, and gusty winds.

Dense fog is expected to develop inland off of southern Lake
Michigan this evening and continue into Wednesday morning. The
highest threat for dense fog will be across parts of northeastern
Illinois and far northwestern Indiana overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Morning Fog Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Significant Fire Weather Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may develop ahead of a cold
front late Thursday afternoon. If thunderstorms develop, some
will likely become severe with damaging hail being the greatest
threat.

On Friday, strong west-southwest winds and very warm and dry
conditions will result in an elevated to potentially significant
fire danger.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
