This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Waves of snow showers tonight will cause reduced visibility at
times and may result in localized slushy accumulations on elevated
or colder surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Moderate Lakeshore Flood Risk at night for Porter County.

DISCUSSION...

A period of moderate to heavy snow is expected across the area
Thursday morning, with the precipitation changing to rain or
drizzle from north to south during the afternoon. Slushy
accumulations are expected on elevated and grassy surfaces, and
likely on some paved surfaces as well during the morning and
early afternoon. Winds will gust up to 45 mph from the west to
northwest through Thursday evening.

Minor lakeshore flooding and erosion due to large waves are
possible along primarily the Porter County shoreline Thursday
night into Friday morning.
