This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Snow Risk this morning in the Chicago metro.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Moderate Lakeshore Flood Risk at night for Porter County.

DISCUSSION...

A period of moderate to heavy snow is expected across the area
this morning, with the precipitation changing to rain north to
south during the afternoon. Slushy accumulations are expected on
all surfaces across the Chicago metro, but especially on elevated
and grassy surfaces, during the morning. Winds will gust up to 50
mph from the west to northwest late this morning into early
evening.

Minor lakeshore flooding and erosion due to large waves are
possible along primarily the Porter County shoreline tonight
into Friday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
