THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS. THE STRONGEST MAY PRODUCE...
WIND GUSTS GREATER THAN 50 MPH.
HAIL TO THE SIZE OF NICKELS.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:
RAIN WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS EVENING WITH EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE FOR ALL OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA LATE THIS EVENING. STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS
WILL BE POSSIBLE SOUTH OF A PONTIAC...WATSEKA TO FOWLER
LINE.

DISCUSSION:
AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL PLAINS WILL
STRENGTHEN LATER THIS AFTERNOON AS IT LIFTS NORTHEAST
TOWARDS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA OVERNIGHT.
AS THE LOW APPROACHES NORTHERN ILLINOIS...THE WARM SECTOR
WILL LIFT ACROSS THE SOUTHERN FORECAST AREA WITH DEEP
LAYERED SHEAR. THIS MAY ALLOW A FEW THUNDERSTORMS TO
STRENGTHEN OR POSSIBLE REACH SEVERE LIMITS SOUTH OF A
PONTIAC...WATSEKA TO FOWLER LINE. THE MAIN CONCERN FROM
THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE GUSTY WINDS AND MARGINALLY HAIL
UP TO THE SIZE OF NICKELS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
