...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM CST
THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Wintry mix and some freezing rain expected. Total ice
accumulations around a light glaze.

* WHERE...Boone, De Kalb, Lee, Ogle, Winnebago, and McHenry Counties.

* WHEN...From noon today to 8 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As temperatures rise above freezing late this
afternoon and early this evening precipitation will change to all
rain. Some icy spots may linger on untreated road and sidewalks
for a time even after air temperatures rise above freezing. This
is due to the initially very cold pavement temperatures being
slower to rise above freezing than the air temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible
