Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday and Thursday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Non-Thunderstorm Wind Risk
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Snow and Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION...

A strong arctic cold frontal passage Wednesday afternoon and
evening may be accompanied by a period of gusty snow showers or
squalls, resulting in sudden drops in visibility, quick snow
accumulations on roadways, and tumbling temperatures. Strong winds
will persist during the evening and overnight hours with gusts up
to 40 mph at times and wind chills plummeting to 10 to 20 degrees
below zero through early Thursday morning.

Another round of accumulating fluffy snow is then possible
Thursday afternoon and evening.

A storm system will move through the region at the end of the
week with a threat for additional wintry weather.
