Light to at times briefly moderate snow will occur across
northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana through around 9 a.m.
The snow will likely bring a dusting of accumulation including on
some roadways. This could cause slick conditions in places, as
well as lead to slowed travel.
Allow extra time for slower travel during the morning commute,
including across the Chicago metropolitan area.

West to northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 35 and
45 mph will occur through early evening across northeast Illinois
and northwest Indiana. High profile vehicles like semi- trucks
traveling on north-south roads may find driving difficult. These
winds may combine with falling snow to quickly though briefly
reduce visibility. These gusty winds can also blow and move loose
objects such as lawn furniture. Winds will gradually decrease
during the evening.
