Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
High Swim Risk Lake Michigan Beaches.

DISCUSSION...

Strong northeast winds are expected this afternoon and evening.
The strongest winds will be southeast of I-55 and downwind of Lake
Michigan, where gusts up to 55 mph are possible. Showers are
expected overnight with a slight (20 percent) chance for a
thunderstorm.

Building waves on southern Lake Michigan has resulted in
dangerous conditions along the shoreline.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday through Monday morning...
High Swim Risk Lake Michigan Beaches.

DISCUSSION...

Large and battering waves will continue to result in dangerous
conditions along the Lake Michigan shoreline through Monday.
