THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM RISK...WITH AN ASSOCIATED:
LIMITED TORNADO RISK.
LIMITED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK...UP TO 60 MPH.
ELEVATED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION:

A STRONG LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING BUSY WEATHER TO THE REGION TODAY.
THE LOWS COLD FRONT IS ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AND WILL PASS
THROUGH THE FORECAST AREA THIS AFTERNOON. STRONG WIND GUSTS ARE
EXPECTED JUST AHEAD AND BEHIND THE FRONTAL PASSAGE. GUSTS OF 45 TO
50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO FORM THIS AFTERNOOON...WITH
THE HIGHER SEVERE POTENTIAL ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. THE MAIN
THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS UP TO 60 MPH AND BRIEF
HEAVY DOWNPOURS. THERE IS A MINIMAL CHANCE OF A TORNADO OR TWO.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

SATURDAY...
LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.
LIMITED SNOW RISK IN THE MORNING.
