Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Patchy fog that could be dense in isolated spots will burn off
this morning. Showers and storms spread across the region tonight.
No severe storms are expected but some heavy rainfall is possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Significant Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Showers and storms continue Friday, and a line of organized storms
may form roughly along or east of a McHenry, IL to Gibson City, IL
line. The storms will then shift east through the afternoon and
evening. Damaging winds and small hail are possible with the
strongest storms. Windy conditions are expected regardless of
thunderstorms with gusts UP TO 40 MPH.

Much colder air arrives Friday night and Saturday along with a
chance of light snow. Minor accumulations of an inch or less are
possible on grassy surfaces north of I-80 through Saturday
morning. Gusty northwest winds are also expected Saturday.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

DISCUSSION:

There is a chance of thunderstorms Thursday night, but the chance
of thunderstorms looks to be Friday. Indications are that many of
the ingredients could be in place for some of the thunderstorms to
become severe. While some potential for severe weather exists area
wide, the highest chances look to be east of I-55 and south of
I-80, including northwest Indiana.
