Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Slushy Snow Risk, mainly north of Interstate 88.

DISCUSSION...

A system will bring a rain/snow mix over the area today. While
most locations will not see meaningful snow accumulations, there
is a chance for a narrow corridor of heavier snowfall rates
resulting in localized wet, slushy snow around an inch. The most
likely area for these heavier snowfall rates and higher snow
accumulations is presently forecasted to be between I-88 and the
Illinois- Wisconsin state line.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

DISCUSSION...

Northwest winds in excess of 45 mph are expected late this
afternoon and evening, but locally higher gusts will be possible
west of the Chicago metro and near the Indiana lakeshore. The
combination of large waves and strong winds on Lake Michigan may
lead to instances of lakeshore flooding mainly east of Gary,
Indiana.

Snow accumulations of up to one inch may be observed, particularly
in portions of Porter County, Indiana.

Limited Snow Risk.
