Elevated Fire Weather Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Dry and windy conditions are expected Saturday and Sunday and will
lead to an elevated fire danger Saturday afternoon and again Sunday
afternoon. Relative humidity values will range from 25 to 35
percent Saturday. On Sunday relative humidity values may slightly
increase, but winds will likely be stronger than on Saturday.

Michigan shore of Cook County. These high waves will subside
Friday afternoon into Friday night.

* WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with strongest gusts up to
45 to 50 mph expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central and
northeast Illinois.
* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM CST Friday. The strongest
winds are expected overnight into Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Small
tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result. In addition, driving will be difficult, especially on
east-west oriented roads.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
